The Royal Australian Mint has produced this silver 50 cent proof coin to commemorate the visit to Australia in March 2000 by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 2. A special new effigy has been produced, which will only be used for this commemorative coin and it becomes the fifth effigy of Her Majesty to appear on Australian coinage. Mintage 25,000.
